Bednightswop created an exclusive platform for owners and employees of premium hotels, lodges and guest houses to exchange accommodation (bed-nights) at discounted rates. This Travel Club is limited to premium establishments only and membership requirements are based on this principle: A top end Travel Club, exclusive to owners, management & senior staff of similar premium class accommodation establishments.
The Bednightswop team extends personalised invitations to carefully selected accommodation establishments, inviting them to join Bednightswop to become part of this elite Travel Club, at no cost. When they join as an Accommodation Partner, they can then nominate additional premium accommodation establishments to also join as accommodation partners. The Bednightswop team reserves the right to decline or accept newly nominated Accommodation Partners. Bednightswop Memberships are only available to employees of the participating Accommodation Partners which enable them to travel to other Accommodation Partners on 50 – 70% discounted accommodation rates.
The concept behind trade exchanges has been part of the travel industry for years, and based on this concept, Bednightswop was established in 2011 for the premium accommodation sector of the Hospitality Industry. Owners often have relationships with other hospitality establishments to arrange bed-night swops or trade exchanges, and are therefore in the position to experience other lodges, hotels and other hospitality establishments, on a complimentary basis or at discounted rates. Often the senior management or frontline staff, responsible for creating these wonderful experiences for the guests, cannot afford to travel to these establishments. Now owners, senior management/employees of participation Accommodation Partners can apply for Bednightswop membership and benefit from the available discounted rates. The discounted rates are only available to employees of Bednightswop Accommodation partners and not to any other hospitality employees, i.e. travel agents, airline staff, tour guides etc.
There are trade rates available in the travel industry but these are often difficult to obtain, or properties are reluctant to offer these since they don’t originate from one centralised trustworthy source.
Bednightswop created the perfect opportunity for employees of the participating Accommodation Partners to experience other participating hospitality accommodation establishments at discounted rates.
The Accommodation Partners benefit by filling empty beds and also generate additional revenue, by offering discounted rates, to members working at other participating hospitality establishments or can simply use this as an incentive for their own employees. At the same time the Accommodation Partners obtain great referrals from the Bednightswop Members staying at their establishments by experiencing it first-hand as guests, as they are often asked by guests to advise on alternative accommodation elsewhere.
